It’s been an exciting week at the Doge Pound, and here is another roundup full of news and updates. Our community is growing, and we are excited to see everyone having a great time amidst the NFT downturn, be it the Sketch n Chill sessions, inter-community events, or our Doge Pound City GTA server.
We hosted a Puppy Decompression Area at Rare Evo, and it was a smash hit. We are incredibly grateful for your support in helping us build and maintain the Doge Pound Shelter. We rescued another dog last week. All this and more as we round up the week. Let’s go.
Puppy Decompression Area at Rare Evo
Last week, we hosted a puppy decompression area at Rare Evo, a blockchain convention in Denver, CO.
Many prominent leaders and industry experts attended the event including Willayna Banner, Head of Blockchain at Microsoft, and Charles Hoskinson, Founder of Cardano.
We had several cute dogs and puppies joining us in the area and participants got to play with them. Here are the most adorable attendees of Rare Evo.
Doge Pound Sketch n Chill
We’ve been conducting a fun weekly community event in Discord with one of our lead artists, Pumpkin, who creates real-time artwork during the two-hour workshop.
Last week again, she drew some incredible artwork live based on requests from the community. Here’s some of the art from the latest workshop. You can find more in our Discord chats.
It is a weekly session held every Wednesday at 1 PM ET, so make sure you drop by for the next one. Watching Pumpkin take live requests and draw something from scratch is exciting. Attend our next workshop to learn more.
Rescue Story and Support for Doge Pound Shelter
Last week, the Doge Pound Shelter team rescued another dog. We decided not to bring in more dogs as we were out of space, but we could not walk away with a clear conscience after seeing this dog in need.
He had very infected skin and flies buzzing all over him. We could not see an aged dog suffer and decided to bring it to our shelter.
Msela is now getting the required treatment. We feel confident that its skin will recover and it will be healthy again soon. We have named it “Msela” after the Swahili urban word meaning buddy.
We will provide more updates on Msela as it continues to recover.

After publishing 80+ roundups since the beginning of 2022, we are taking a break from these weekly updates.
We are revamping our brand strategy and restructuring our internal team. We’ll be back with regular updates at some point later. Stay tuned.
