Last week, Elon Musk surprised the world by replacing the Twitter logo with the Doge logo giving our community something fun to celebrate. We’ve already had many exciting IRL events this year and are looking forward to more this quarter. All this and more as we round up the week. Let’s go.

Breaking: New CEO of Twitter
Last week, Twitter surprised everyone as it changed its logo to the Dogecoin image. There was no explanation for a long time and eventually, Elon Musk tweeted a meme noting the change.
As a dog-loving community, we were excited to see the bird replaced by a dog. Our community responded with funny memes on Twitter and we had to follow suit.
Here’s a fun announcement from the Doge sharing some exciting changes.
The bird has been back since then, and only time will tell whether this was an extended April Fools’ joke or a pilot test by Twitter. But we had a great time and were thankful to Elon for the brief surprise. All we need is an excuse to have fun.

Consensus 2023
- Location: Austin, TX
- Date: April 26th — 28th
- Details: The Doge Pound Yappy Hour event at a local venue. Full details and sign up coming next week
Best Pet Workplaces
- Location: Playa Vista, CA
- Date: May 18th
- Details: All-day event focused on how pets help attract, engage, and retain a better workforce. Guests include the CEO of Petco, the SVP of Walmart, the President of Nationwide, the CMO of Titos, and many more.

Final Thoughts
As we continue building our IP, we want to focus on expanding our audience to a diverse community of dog lovers. We will further innovate and create unique products (AI tools, toys, animations, etc.) as we build our brand with our partners. We also want to continue our efforts in expanding our shelter, helping as many dogs as possible.
